I’m working on a Jaleco Mega System 1 P-47 arcade board that originally gave me just a black screen. I replaced all three JK-03s and the JK-02. After swapping them in, I now get video output, but I’m seeing issues:
I also noticed that the stereo/mono switch is missing from the board. Would bridging that be a safe workaround for testing, or should I source the proper switch?
At this point, I’m wondering what areas would be best to check next:
Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

- Missing sprites on the screen
- Sound isn’t quite right (off / distorted)
I also noticed that the stereo/mono switch is missing from the board. Would bridging that be a safe workaround for testing, or should I source the proper switch?
At this point, I’m wondering what areas would be best to check next:
- Could this be an issue with the reproduction customs not fully working?
- Should I check voltages around the sound section or the sprite RAM?
- Any common failure points on these Mega System 1 boards I should focus on?
Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
