Hi all,
Looking to see if Lee (or anyone else) is still making/selling the reproduction MVS memory card reader. I checked his site, and it seems that he may have stopped producing them. However, I heard that the project files can still be sent to PCBWay.
For reference:
• My MVS U4 25 Candy Cab came with an original SNK reader and the cables for my 4-slot, but I’m missing the 4-pin headphone cable.
• My original reader has bent pins that shorted when I inserted the memory card, so I’m hoping to grab a working repro or replacement.
If anyone has one for sale, knows who’s currently making them, or can help me get the PCB files ready for fabrication, please let me know.
I also read that bend pins, as in my case, are a typical failure point of these old readers, and this can be replaced with a 68-pin PCMCIA Connector Card. I don't have the equipment to solder that many pins or do the job correctly. I'd appreciate a fully assembled PCB reader board.
Thanks!
