I've recapped a couple of these PSU's now & I noticed something making noise when I lifted it after cleaning it up.

The green component on AB1 looks to slide back & forth on the lead. All the others (AB2/AB1 on other boards) appear to be fixed.

I'm not sure if this is of any concern but figured I'd ask if anyone knew what it was before finishing the recap, given it's a good time to swap anything that isn't 100% on it.

Figured I'd chuck it in to a transistor reader & took them off the board. Both appear to just be a wire pass-through w/a ceramic bead. There's a little marker on the board where they're designed to align. There's also a couple on some of the mosfets & they're blue on the other board.

Not sure of the purpose outside of trolling random folk learning their way through PCB's :D

I would leave it there without replacing. I don't believe it will cause anything. Original parts are better than the aftermarket parts from today. If anything fails later, then you have a start but for now, leave it back on. I have learned my lesson already after recapping crt chassis and games for fun. Unless something is causing issues, I replace. If the game or chassis is working fine, I let it be. After recapping many of these I am not a believer of the cap kit anymore. Just me. : )
