Good stuff, has anyone built out a M92 cap kit ( Major Title 2 donor ) recently on DigiKey they have successfully tested and can share the shopping cart?

If not I will put one together soon and share with the community.

The cap list is the same for all M92 games since all the caps that need to be replaced is on the mainboard and it’s the romboard that differs between games.
 
I believe the m107 cap kit console 5 carries just has an extra cap in it.

Arcade parts and repair based out of montana has a nice m92 cap kit and I would recommend them.

I would consider a recap necessary on these boards.

I get it but why to bother with Console 5 kits since all are documented here, on AP Forum and you can build you own cap kit based on what is writed in this theard (check first post too for more lists) ?

Or if you own any of these hardwares (M92 & M107) , you can build your own cap kit by checking it what you need to replace on your boards (using general purpose capacitors rated on 105°C) ... i used 85°C and all went perfectly .

The lists are useful. I use them when a kit isnt available. Console5 is reasonably priced by the time I factor in cap selection and digikey ordering. Sometimes I just want to order in 5 minutes and have it arrive.

I picked my own caps out for cps2 B boards. I don't like mini caps. That only made sense because they are all the same and I bought bulk along with something else I needed.

I also documented and helped console5 have the m72 cap kit so its off the shelf as needed.

I feel like I am missing something here - looking at the instructions, and it has a table - as I have a M920-B-A romboard, this is my line.

I am trying to figure out what the 1B and 1A parts mean?

i see this later, but it doesn't help my understand:

I am pretty certain I see where they go - and need to pull my C0-C3 chips and socket them - but Just trying to understand what the 1A/1B part means.

@mathewbeall 1A & 1B daughterboards are the same thing but 1B only has 4 rows of pins populated (instead of 8 for 1A). They should be identified by a tick on the silkscreen.
Basically 1A is fully populated and fits in all 4 C0 to C3 sockets, 1B is half populated and fits in SL0 & SH0 sockets.
 
In that table, the label should be “daughterboards” instead of “sub boards”. 1A and 1B are model numbers of the daughterboards supplied with the M92 Multi kit.

AHHHH - well that is why I can't find that lettering or nomenclature on my donor board! :)

I have a gunforce, so today I socketed the C0-C3, so I am ready for the Multi!

The manual lists 6 flash chips but doesn't list the chip type? I've got an XGecu TL866-3G that has a TSOP-56 adapter. They [XGecu] seem pretty responsive to adding in chip support, and given there's a TSOP-56 adapter for it, I'd love to verify what actual chip is in use (so I can check if they support it and request it if not). Would it be possible in a future revision to identify the actual chips used there?
 
The flash modules are the same ones used in the Namco System 1 Multi and Sega System 18 Multi. @Mitsurugi-w sells the programmer adapters for them. AFAIK the programmer adapters are only available for the FlashcatUSB XPORT and Proman programmers, as is stated in the manual.
