Making Aspect Ratios from 16:9 to 4:3

Hi, does anyone know what is needed to make the games display at the correct ratio?

I'm running the Naomi using the VGA port to a Asus monitor. However, since the monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio and most games I want to play are native 4:3 ratio.

Aside from buying a new 4:3 ratio monitor, what do I need to do to change the aspect ratio?

I'm also thinking of investing in an OSSC. Does the converter allow the conversion of 16:9 display to 4:3 display without adding any lag?

you need to play with the settings on the monitor. Its stretching the image. An OSSC isnt going to help with this issue.

I played with all the settings on the monitor and found no option to make it 4:3.

Any other ways around?

If there's no settings, get another monitor. I usually find good deals on FB marketplace for stuff like that

the setting might not necessarily be called "aspect ratio". It could be called "picture mode" or some other picture related setting. Does the monitor have a "game mode"?

Yeah it has a game mode. The option to set it to VGA mode is blocked out.

However, I was able to set it to 4:3 mode on PS2 using a retrotink2x HDMI converter from component cables.
