Perhaps a dumb question, but do I need the power supply to be connected to a load when dialing in the voltage? Using a Meanwell RT-85A and I'm wondering if I should have the psu hooked up to my HAS + a pcb or not when trying it (making sure it's set to low V first)

Yes. Start little lower and move up once the game is connected. The bigger the PCB the more power it needs, so if you're going from a huge 3 stack game like Ikari Warriors and are moving to a little Cave PCB, make sure you lower the power before turning on the Cave one. With a MW if you're right at 5v, it probably won't damage anything if you go a little higher initially, but cheap PSUs could have dangerous power fluctuations and if you're already at the high end, it might damage something on your PCB.

Iv had a few people expressing interest in a cover, so wanted to open this up and see if anyone else was in the market before I order new supplies. In other words...bump! :) Please shoot me a DM if you have interest at this time, thank you!

Bump! I have one unit ready for sale because the above member requested one be made then bailed on payment. ||

His loss, your gain! Ill knock off 5$ and include a cable for free (normally 15$ value) so you get the cover assembly and cable shipped to your door for $50.

My bad bro, got caught up with my job out of the Army and didn't even see this. If you got one more I am ready now.

Built a few new units recently and have one left if anyone is interested. Shoot me a DM.
I love these, and have purchased 3 so far I think, but have you considered an update to the design. After using them so much, I realize having all the wires come out the same side would be much better for cable management. Right now the HAS connectors are out of the end, while the thick power is out the side. Also I still vote for a 3D printed knob for the voltage control!

EDIT: I vote the power comes out the same end as the current HAS cable, better than the side IMO.

Yes I plan to offer a redesign for the next batch , mainly to address what you mention in regards to the cables coming out of different sides. While it has never been an issue for me I can appreciate where you are coming from and want to offer multiple options so the user can make the decision which better suites their needs.

Just a lot of design, print, test, repeat before it can become finalized and unfortunately have not had the time to delve into it and fix fitment issues etc.

I appreciate the words of encouragement and the constructive criticism as always man! :)
