Sending off some Universal U64 chips to @acblunden2 to try out :D

necro bump.
Wondering if anyone (@RealMFnG ?) has one of these they could part with. I am doing a bunch of messing around with upgrading boards cmos ram and RTC and swapping roms etc and would love to have one of these so I can work with stock roms.

If the code is available, I also think that my TopMax2 can program these if needed also.

Thanks in advance.

I'll chime in here to mention upcoming ports and improved versions of Jam S.E. and Hangtime reworked will work on the smaller SRAM board. The leaked src has provisions for the smaller SRAM that I'll be using for building. A maximum of around 190 player records with name/pin can be set on the smaller SRAM.

Also, Open Ice source is available and this can likely be changed to use the smaller SRAM as well.

Finally I can say I've gotten MK2 rev 1.2 working on Wolf unit as well, it needs a bit of cleanup and P2 controls need to be mapped.

Is there any truth to the rumor that a PC port of MK Trilogy might be in the works for a wolf unit conversion?

I'm not working on this so not from me, no. It would also be a ton of work to port those things into Wolf unit / TMS34010 code, so i don't see that happening in the near future.

I see that as highly unlikely, AFAIK all of the modern re-releases of Trilogy are just running emulated console versions. Unless Midway happened to have a wolf unit version of that game that they never released and someone found the old code, or some industrious person decided to re-create it for Wolf unit from scratch. Those are the only two ways I could see that happening. MK Trilogy in the recent legacy collection release is just an emulated version of the PS1 release. If there really was old Arcade Code for Trilogy kicking around that certainly would have been the place to release it.

What IS kicking around though is the WaveNet Version of UMK3 for Wolf Unit which was extracted from the recent Legacy Collection release.

Was there any code for the u45 Altera epm7064lc68 chip in the legacy collection or did they just use the mame black box simulation?
