MiSTer FPGA

Not sure if this is the best place for this question but how do folks who own the official mistercade remote wire the remote to reach outside the Cab? I have it connected to the mistercade and it functions correctly but I can’t think of a way to conveniently have it come out of the cab. Is the best recommendation to run the cable through the coin door?

Just use a wireless mini keyboard instead, since with a lot of arcade cores, especially new ones you need to map the controlls it's super handy. Since most of them are 2.4ghz they work even inside metal candy cabs no problems.

Does anyone know how to get 24khz out of analogue video output from mister fpga ? What do I need to change in mister.ini Only need this for sega model 2 core.

IS the core called model2?? - if not swap the core name into the square brackets.
Its native 24 so i reckon you just 0 all the mister signals out apart from sync option.

[Model2]
vga_scaler=0
forced_scandoubler=0
direct_video=0
composite_sync=1
vga_mode=rgb

it runs natively at 24khz so thats not an issue but I want an alternate ini file so that when I run my NAC in 24khz mode I see the mister menus and everything at 24khz as well.

@msamiullah not sure if you've already looked at this, but it might help with the alternate INI setup: MiSTer INI settings. It covers separate configs and settings specifically for the menu.

There’s also the custom video modes guide for setting the output timings. I think you would still need suitable 24 kHz timings for your monitor, but those explain the settings involved.
