MODE terraonion on NAOMI/Tri-Force/Chihiro GDrom drive.

Since this mod board is for Dreamcast, I wonder if works on the GDrom for Naomi/Tri-Forcr/Chihiro.

Did anyone try using MODE on the GDrom drive and see what happens?
 
It does work, you need to connect it to an existing GDROM PCB, making this somewhat redundant, you also need to replace the menu (you can use a MENU folder on the SDCARD for this purpose if memory serves me right) with your targeted game, this means only one game at a time (or per SD card) will work.

So if someone developed A game menu for Naomi then in theory this will work similar to MODE connected to a DC right? I think this is what Alex was alluding to when he mentioned a personal project for TO team?

in reality MODE’s menu is basically a DC game that’s basically a menu which loads all the available games on an Sd card or SATA drive. We just need a Naomi specific Game menu.
 
@hyp36rmax NAOMI/DIMM is completely different, because it is basically a RAM-cart which works on his own, and you can not just switch emulated GD media and directly run it. it have to be fully read into DIMM RAM, verified, reset NAOMI board, verified again and finally running (repeat each time you change emulated GD disc). obviously literally no one will want such a slow torture.
