Hi everone.
All my 6 Model 3 machines has had Drive boards (the logic one with 7 segment displays) failing during the last years.
Luckily I have got spares from ebay, so all machines are still running.

However I now have a stack of cards I would like to try to repair, and I was wondering if there is any good source of informations on this cards?
Usual suspects (GAL's?), schematics, list of the error codes, etc?

If you give up on some of them and want to sell a few, I would be interested :)

… and welcome to the author of said thread @Tibal!

Perhaps you can help and tell us what is usually the issue with them? The #1 issue?

Tu as aussi de l’expérience avec des autres? Comme namco par hasard? Salut!

Haha thanks :D
From the boards I fixed, 74HCxxx (can be any of them, usually a lot of them) are the most common failures. But in order not to waste time and desolder chips that work, my advice is to follow the tutorial order (check jumpers, check GAL,...).
It's better to have a known working GAL or board to go faster.
I also desolder and check the "bottom line" chips every time as they are involved in many failures, even the ones that need to play the game to be detected.

And no, I haven't tried to fix other FFB boards, but I plan to work on Indy500/Touring Car/Lemans24 boards sooner or later
