Monitor troubles

Hello so the other day i put on my cocktail cabinet and it came on then well this happened.️

. Ive checked the sync wire is still connected but i haven't a clue what else to check anyone have any pointers or suggestions thanks

Have you adjusted any pots? And sure everything is connected fully?
Do you know what monitor chassis it is?

hi yeah I've tried the pots and checked things are connected fully. unfortunately I've never been able to identify the monitor chassis as it has no markings or names i think its probably Japanese. its been in our family for over 35 years so its pretty old because it wasn't new even then. i think it was originally a space invaders cab but was converted into Ms pacman here are some pics it does say Philips under the monitor but i thought that was just who made the tubes but I'm guessing to be honest

If nothing was changed and its a gameboard that has worked in it previously without fault I would think it that if its rolling rather than scrambled that it could point to some leaky caps if nothing is lining up after tweaking the v or h holds If something was changed it could be mixed up cabling or hold need to be mm fine tuned (gunblade UKVAC/grantspain AO not sure if he is on here) Is a good monitor tech in the uk for repairs if you getting nowhere.

yeah I think maybe something died like you say ill have a look to see if I can see any leaking caps I've tried 2 different boards in its and its the same. its never been recapped so i wouldn't be surprised if its something like that.

so I've had a look cant see any leaky caps but I've noticed the picture is more scrambled now basically its all over the place
