Having an issue with my Moonwalker Bootleg PCB with it recognising Fire 2 for both Player 1 and Player 2 as both on/pressed.
Still learning how to do repairs so any pointers would be really appreciated. I've gone through what I've done so far below;
1. I tested another game to rule out the button and Jamma connector. This works fine.
2. Unplugged and replugged the ribbon cables in case these were the issue and resat the eproms, which had no effect.
3. Tested Pin 23 on the board side on the Jamma connector with a logic prove, this works as expected; high when not pressed, low one pressed (same as Fire 1).
4. Traced this back to a SN74LS245N IC and to a resistor network, these show same results as step 2, on the input pins, however corresponding output pin is always pulsing, but this is the same function as a working Fire 1 button, so guessing these are both working correctly.
5. Then traced back to a T74LS37381. Haven't got around to testing yet but will try tomorrow.
