Last week I got (used, pre modded) a nice Darksoft CPS-1 multi and I immediately updated the firmware and the SD with a multipack from a famous archive... the big one with 212 items. I immediately noticed some weirdnesses on the display, most names ended with weird characters and the numbering had some jumps, like when I scrolled items I got 204, then 034 and then 206. Further investigations led to the "name" file in each subdirectory containing untrimmed spaces and ending with a carrier return + line feed (the weird chars on the display) and some items having the number in the name file not corresponding to the file system numbering... so I fixed everything with a python script and I'm sharing here the resulting files in a zip containing exclusively the name files, so no copyrighted IP. You can extract it on the SD, replacing all files, and the naming will be fixed. Again, this is a drop in naming replacement for a specific multipack hosted on a famous archive.
