Hey all, I'm currently working on replicating a "mura-masher" (link redirects to an imgur image) style input for a new arcade stick build. (For the uninitiated, the "mura-masher" is WASD keys that replace the lever in an arcade stick.) So far I think I have things down to a tee, but as I'm a total beginner, I would like a little advice to see if what I'm doing is good or not.
So far, I'm planning to use four Cherry MX Blue switches, four of the Sparkfun Cherry MX breakout boards (link to Sparkfun), a cheapy PC zero-delay encoder (Amazon link), some quick-disconnect wires, and a cheap, crappy soldering iron.
The plan right now is to solder the breakout boards into the WASD layout, add the switches, and then solder the four quick disconnect wires to the switches and test.
I've yet to actually bite the bullet and order all the stuff, just wanted to see if anyone could find a potential hitch in my plans. :D
