MV1B Graphics Glitches/Artifacts in Text, Only Occurs with NeoSD - Regular Carts are Fine

Curious why, if it’s a component issue on the mobo, it wouldn’t effect all carts on that motherboard? Does the NeoSD not send appropriate signal levels or something?

The DarkSoft Multi-MVS also has some issues with this board.

I have not done extensive testing but I've noticed audio and video issues.

The issues are not the same as the neosd issues.

I see lines in the background on some games and a portion of the audio drops out on mslug2 a little bit into the first level.

If you look on the column in the background, you can see 3 lines. Those lines move up and down as the game is played. Sometimes only 1 line, sometimes 2; but always stuck to that column.

I'll try to desolder what's on there and sub in a furrtek replacement neo-buf. If that doesn't work I'll just scrap it.

Anecdotally - the smaller games seem to work perfectly on DarkSoft. Strikers, magician Lord, nam, turf Masters show no issues on DarkSoft. All had issues on neosd.

Edit: - strikers is large and also exhibits the lines on the screen. I just hadn't seen them yet.

You probably wouldn't be lying.

I've been to their discord and it was pretty useless; at least for me.

This is not really a neosd problem though, which I knew from the start.
