Got this SamSho2 cart, it boots and plays completely normally, but has no sound at all. No BGM or SFX. Tested in 2 MVS boards. Other carts work fine in both.
Opened up, saw some spots of corrosion on the CHA board edge connector. Specifically two of the worst looking pins connecting to two pins on the M1 chip did not have continuity.
Figuring that was a possible culprit I did a hack job with some copper tape and wire. Continuity restored.
Tested but still no sound. Possible bad M1 rom? Anything else to check besides checking and rechecking continuity everywhere?
