mvs cartridge - no sound, high pitch whine

Hello everybody. How's going?

Somebody is trying to sell me a mvs cartridge with sound issues. Neo Geo intro logo have a perfect sound, then when the game load there's no sound, just a high pitch whine. It doesn't have the loud crackling sounds which are the common symptoms of a bad pcm ic.

Could this issue still be a faulty pcm ic?
 
since you can’t hear any sound, go on unibios and check driver sound. If you can see numbers of audio track m1 is ok. So try to play any sound. If all are broken so it’s the pcm
 
The seller said he doesn't have a unibios, and his board is a mv1c so I'd say he's telling the truth. I'll just turn down the deal, it's too risky to get a cartridge that's not rare and it end up being a dead pcm. Thanks for the help!
