I have a 1 slot MVS board, that is working well except for the cartridge slot.

It does not grip the game, and make a connection, if you push the game all the way in the slot.

You have to then pull the game backwards, until you physically feel a better connection. And then it's very hard to not get a read error, because you have to find the perfect spot for all the pins.

Has anyone had this issue before? Is it fixable?

Is it possible to source replacement slots if all else fails?

Thank you in advance for the help!

Yeah, you can buy replacement slots. Obviously a lot of work to replace, and should be a last resort:

Try cleaning with Deoxit D5 contact cleaner first. Visually inspect for bent pins. You can bend the pins out slightly to make a better connection, but don't do this unless you know what you're doing, as it's very easy to mess up the pins this way.

Yeah I just found those myself but it feels like at that price it’s the price of a new motherboard already :/

I am not really visually seeing the pins difference, but the problem is they make no contact not that the contact is ruined due to dirt
