MVS U4 horizontal issue

We just got an MVS U4 and it was powered on briefly before the image collapsed horizontally. Then, after turning it back on, the image looks stretched horizontally.

Wondering if the chassis needs to be recapped or the problem is as simple as whatever controls the horizontal hold just being loose.

I will note that this cab has been exposed to US power and the previous owner said he ran it that way. I have it running on 100V now via a step down converter.

Update: So today when I turned everything on the monitor came on stretched. After being on for a while the picture collapsed inward into a white line and then darkness.

After that, I turned the cab back on. The picture was stretched again but after a few minutes it corrected itself. The monitor then ran for another 9 hours with the proper horizontal stretch. Then after two hours of being off, I powered it in again and the picture is once again stretched.

I think someone here had asked what chassis it is.

I believe it’s stock.

I’m curious if it can be replaced with an MS8 chassis as I have an MS8 from a Astro City that just got recapped.
