My CPS2 board has issues. Should I still install the kit?

2) Not sure why the game would crash if you're using decrypted ROMs and don't have the key writing cable hooked up. Does the Champion Edition Multi require that a keyfile be in the game folder @Darksoft ?

3) The decrypted ROM set is the "old" set. The CPS1.5 conversions aren't included in the set, but you can add them in manually. They don't require encryption keys to work.

Oh man, of course it involves soldering... seriously though, thanks for the tip. Replacing capacitors seems like it's fairly easy if you have good equipment...? It's something I want to learn to do, so hopefully I can try this soon.

Yes, i recommend you to buy a desoldering gun to avoid damaging any parts. You can practice with it in a scrap board before trying it in your shiny arcade board.
