Hi everyone,
My Star Wars Trilogy upright came to me with a very flaky monitor- turns out the tube had been (just barely!) necked.
I don't believe this was original to the machine.
The tube was a Toshiba and had a 100V sticker on it.

I am still new to working on monitor chassis and not familiar with these at all and now that I don't have a viable tube I can't begin to try to work on it anyway.

Can someone here use this?
Will cost a few $$ to ship obviously but otherwise free to a good home!
I kept the original yoke and adjustment rings too.
Please message me with your address if interested.

Aloha!
Bobby

Appreciate the wisdom!
Been wondering for a while.
Spoken for already and on its way to the east coast shortly.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Hopefully whoever is taking it is aware that the chassis was almost certainly the cause of the necking of the monitor. That is one of the most common failure modes of the MS2931 chassis (tube necking via HV spiking to 40KV or so causing arcing through the glass). I would advise them to not test repairs on it on a tube they care about at all, only switching it over after confirming first hand that it works on a shitty tube.
