FS namco ninja assault

For Sale
Crap. Those guys were out of blue guns. Seeing if they can at least do 2 pink, I might be picking up a TC2 tomorrow. Hopefully one of these parts outfits can supply the blue shell pieces they claim to be able to supply. :/
EDIT: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU only one pink left. Geh. ;(

Ok, eff arcade spare parts:

"Thank you for your order.
However, we are sorry that the Namco Gun Assembly for Time Crisis 1 & 2, Point Blank (Blue) is just sold out. Would you consider black one?"

"I would take 2 pink. Do you have 2 pink?"

"Unfortunately, we only have one pink. But, we have two black."

"Ok. I'm sorry, I would just like the 1 pink in that case."

"Thank you for your reply.
We will ship you one pink and one black."

WUT? NO. I'm guessing the black is a bootleg one as well and no mention of a refund. Wtf.

Crap, I've only had good dealings with them. They can be a little pushy at selling you stuff at times, but whenever I've had something go wrong they fix it pretty quick. (I once double ordered but they fixed it the next day before shipping.)

I'm starting to wish I'd bought spare guns when I had the chance now.....

Well at least I should get one legit pink gun. The problem is if the black gun is bootleg then I have to send it back to friggin HK. If it's legit I'll just keep it. Or maybe he didn't ship yet.

It better damn well be a legit gun if he didn't refund the difference. :(

There were no black official namco TC2 style guns in the states...there MIGHT have been one in Japan, but I have never seen one.

Everything from TC1, to TC3, Ninja Assault, Vampire Night, and Point Blank 1and2, have been the baby blue, and baby pink guns.

I wish you luck on the hunt though, sincerely.

I’ve seen black Namco guns from Japan. Have a couple as projects to work on...whenever that is.

OH, sweet. Arcade spares guy did not ship, and emailed stating that another customer released a blue gun from their order or something so he did ship one blue one pink.

If they're legit, this outfit is aces with me (can't fault the guy too much for less-than-perfect English).

@twistedsymphony I believe it was, has imported some off of YAJ. Totally took the wind out of my "I got a great deal on official guns" sails. Ha.
guilty :D

2 auctions for 2 pair at about $30 an auction... I think total was about $90 for all 4 shipped to my door.

the harnesses on a couple of them are kinda trashy but the housings and kick back mechanism are practically brand new.

when I bought them there were a few auctions for these popping up every week, I haven't seen any in a while though, I haven't really been looking lately.

Well I picked up the TC2 today as well. What a beast. Kind of beat up. This cab is going to be a pita to restore. X/

I got one gun rebuilt and played some Ninja Assault last night. Settings don't save, bad audio hum, but it plays fine until I can get to addressing those issues.

Sigh so many good Naomi gun games for netbooting, and zero that work with these guns (which I was aware of, but still). ;(

what other games work with the Namco guns, Kspiff?

I thought all the other Naomi guns games used the Sega IR setups....can you use the Namco IO and gun to run those games...cause if so...i've been missing out this whole time, and I'ma be pissed.

:D

Ninja Assault is the only CRT Gun game on NAOMI, all of the other games use analog inputs (provided by the Sega IR guns).

the Atomiswave Gun games are CRT based as well, though, I don't know if that functions with the Ninja Assault hardware on the Atomiswave Conversions. I believe they were converted to work with the Sega IR Guns.

Noob questions - I am very happy with arcade light gun consoles ports but I want to know the following for future references.. If I want to play all the Naomi light gun game what hardware do I need? or which cab would be ideal to take all the parts from? Do Naomi gun games run on CF or PIE setup? Some line of questioning for Yellow Lindbergh and RingEdge 2 light gun games? I am more interested in playing the House of the Dead and Time Crisis series.

Any light gun game Sega has made from Jurassic Park (Model 3) in 1997 to present.

I have detailed information on the gun hardware in my project thread here: Shooting Gallery: Sega Type-II IR on a 108" front projection setup.

I assume you mean Pi not PIE? if so then yes they all run on CF or Pi except for House of the Dead 2 as it needs a special bios that is incompatible with the DIMM Boards.

The Lindbergh multi also runs all of the guns games and they all work with the same gun hardware too.

Don't forget Brave Firefighters on the Hikaru hardware. It used the IR LED Emitters as well.
