FS namco ninja assault

For Sale
So I got my cab today. Very solid condition. Non-recoiling guns, but that's fine for now as I already have a pair.

What's not fine is that I removed the monitor to pull the game off the back of the truck, and in doing so, caught the edge of the mirror and now I have many, smaller, misshapen mirrors... Any chance either @kspiff or @bagheera369 could get the dimensions for me? I feel like a complete idiot, but there's only so much you can see with how the monitor is mounted..

Going to test the Naomi 2 that was in there. It only had one of the two power connectors connected (not sure if that's normal for this cab), and appears to be missing the case fan. So hopefully it's a super easy fix.

What size was the mirror? I have a Sega Lost World cabinet, that I was going to smash to bits once I have some free time. More than happy to salvage the mirror for you.

Don't forget Brave Firefighters on the Hikaru hardware. It used the IR LED Emitters as well.
was that made before Jurassic Park?
Jurassic Park did not use the IR emitter right? It used a joystick. It was Lost World that did use the IR LED emitters, and was a Model 3 game. As for the which came first, I think Lost World debuted a few years prior to Brave Firefighters.

Not sure, it broke into 1039710257125 pieces. Hopefully someone can chime in with the right answer. It'd be awesome if you did have the right one!

Checked out the Naomi 2, one of the fans isn't working, so need to hunt down a replacement.

That sucks. Might need to also vinyl the back side (it seems like mine is, dunno).

I can get dims and gauge, but it'll probably be a few days.

More than fine, thank you so much.

And yeah, it's black something or other on the back. Well, blackish green.

@rewrite , I don't have a Ninja Assault cab....No clue what the mirror for that would be. I am sincerely sorry for the loss though....

I was moving things around in the garage today, trying to dodge any damage to your Megalo, and had to stop what I was doing, take the mirror inside, and put it in a closet, for safety.

Kspiff is awesome though, and I'm sure he will come through with the dimensions....and then it will just be finding someone to cut a mirror that size, and fit it to your brackets.

Ahh, misunderstood. Thought you had a cab and extra parts. Got it now.

It'll be okay. Just a small setback. I need to find a Naomi CPU fan too, that's what's holding up the game from booting. Well, at least that's one thing.

Thanks for saving the mirror! I already have seven years bad luck. Don't need seven more.

It was my mistake. I always thought the Hikaru games predated all of the Model 3 games

nah Hikaru is the successor to Model 3... essentially Model 4

it came out the same year as NAOMI (1999); it's JVS and has 31KHz video output

I think technically it's more powerful than NAOMI in some respects but was only used for games that needed it due to the cost.

Virtua Cop 2 wasn't a Sega IR game.
Oh wow, my mistake. I think I remember you can get regular lightguns to work in Lost World as well? Have you heard about that?

I know, off topic. Maybe a better thread for this.

That's correct. The Model 3 hardware supports it as they continued the gun protocol from the Model 2 boards. AFAIK Sega never officially released any Model 3 games that used the model 2 CRT Gun setup but Ops figured out that they could hook up their Model 2 CRT Guns to Jurassic Park and have it work, so it was a common "fix" if the IR Guns ever died.

You can't just hook the guns up directly though, there is an external sub-board that interfaces the CRT guns with the Model 2/3 hardware, I believe the video signal also passes through this board to get the CRT timing as well.

Well these arcade spare parts guns are freaking perfect. Trying to order more as they show in stock again.

But on this subject I say BOO to Twisted Quarter. Site pictures a complete gun with silver cable and CP plastic. Received 2 guns with cheap rubber hose and no plastic. Also slight rust on the CP bracket, gun slide squeaky, and no CP plastic.

This shit going back. I will have to stop ordering from them so much. Bought solenoids from them as well also not as pictured.

Edit: looks like more guns on the way from arcade spares. =O Lol might maybe need a 3rd set for the TC3 which is now sitting next to the TC2. Demons, seriously.

Yeah, those guys are good. I'm glad it all turned out perfect. I'm super happy with my guns.

I've bought a lot from them and have been really happy with the service. Also their pricing is pretty good and because its closer to NZ the shipping is reasonable too.

Any luck with this? :)

I was trying to get this measured before leaving the country, but had too much shit to do.

Probably be a couple weeks yet, sorry.
