Hi everyone, I wanted to share a little mod that bypasses the use of the onboard audio amp and the use of audio line level converters. It’s an easy mod for your Namco system 11 (and 12, not really necessary but the same pin location is present) to get unamplified stereo audio. It’s clean and requires no pin lifting or trace cutting. You can also reverse the mod if you want your pcb to look stock again as well.
There’s an unpopulated 3 pin area on top of the volume wheel labeled J103. What you would want to do is add either a 3 pin connector or wire directly to some RCA jacks. The pinout is as followed:
1: Right
2: Ground
3: Left
This can be extremely useful especially if you want to record the games using the OSSC.
I have a couple of videos where I’m using this “mod” have a listen!

I did this mod on all my system 11 pcbs and it’s been pretty awesome not dealing with the JAMMA and 48pin kick harness audio wires. Hope you all like this mini mod and hopefully it’s useful to anyone!
