Nanao MS9-29 15k/24k auto switching modification possible?

As far as I can tell, the only difference between manual and auto switching is that auto switching has the relay instead of jumper.

From the picture, manual switching chassis even preserve the space and circuit to install the replay, though I don't know if there is difference on the solder side.

I'm wondering if we can put the replay on manual switching chassis to get auto switching function?

There's a bunch of extra SMD components on the solder side. It's not that easy.
 
There are parts on the back that are different. It's been something I've had on the to do list for a few years now but haven't gotten around to doing. Maybe one day

Like how many are there? If I got a chassis with auto switch, is it possible and how hard is it to transfer those components to another manual chassis?
 
Sorry, can't remember how many.

I'm sure it's possible to transfer them if you wanted to.
