Hi,

My MS9-29 decided to die yesterday...
When turning on it will take some seconds to show a very faint red line in the middle of the screen, that will gradually disappear.
Usually a vertical collapse would show a bright white line, so that's why I am a bit unsure.

The chassis was recapped about 10 years ago.

Any tips on where to start looking? Is it a vertical collapse which means looking at the vertical IC, caps and resistors in that area?
Anyway, any hint or tip is welcome.
Thanks

It's almost a bit embarrassing, it was just the cable to the remote that was partially disconnected.

I have a pfx with one bad colour gun 🥲 I think ..
And it’s zero burn naturally ..

I will go back to it and try other stuff to see
Like I have a rejuvinator now that I didn’t have before ..

Then I could try tapping to dislodge a possible short of carbon diposits across the cathodes
