Hi guys, what is cn508 for on a Nanao Ms9-29? I guess for the ground ? What if this thing is missing, does it cause any problems?

That's a ground wire, it's normally connected to the metal frameof the chassis. <inaccurate info deleted>

No, because the chassis is grounded to the frame through the dag wire.

It's just an extra ground point. Not needed, but good to have.

Depends on the cab. On Sega cabs (post-Aero), the monitor rests on plastic spacers.
Mm you jogged my memory when I recently dismantled my Aero and I think it had spacers too. I’ll have to check. The reason I’m thinking about this is because I’ve had the cabinet powder coated - but beforehand noticed areas free of paint where the monitor frame sits and am wondering whether that’s intentionally done at the factory to allow the frame to ground to the cabinet.
