Hey there!

I recently purchased a Naomi netboot setup from a member on the forum. When I got it, I found that the NaoChiTri constantly keeps restarting when it tries to load any BIN, including the ones the seller sent with it. Sometimes it loads a quarter way through, sometimes none at all, but it always restarts. I've contacted the seller for their help, but they've ignored me for weeks now, so I'm coming to the forum. Has anyone had this issue before on a NaoChiTri netboot setup? It was working for a few days (only with Ninja Assault, but still worked with that game), then got this constant rebooting error. I've replaced the power supply, double-checked all cables, changed the roms, no luck. The Naomi itself seems fine, so I'm out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated!

It's usually a DIMM board issue, likely memory related. Start with a DIMM board test. You can do it from the Naomi service menu.

If DIMM STATUS shows bad, try reseating the memory stick(s) inside the board. If reseating doesn't help, try replacing the sticks.

There's a thread for compatible memory below:

Okay, been a minute but I finally got to setting it up. The power supply works great, I replaced the RAM completely, the DIMM tested all good. But it hasn't solved the rebooting issue. It does seem my DIMM is 3.17, not the 4.02 the seller said it was. Would that be enough to cause the issue?

Some games begin to load, some games get halfway on the progress bar, and some don't even begin to load at all. No idea what is causing this.

Complete side note but I'm also running the Naomi on a Big Blue cab and just can't lock the vertical sync in. It's so slow that it takes a couple seconds to for a roll to complete, but I can't get it to stay completely still. It does in the NAOMI test menu, however, for whatever reason...

You say the power supply is great, I assume you have verified that the +3.3V and +5V are in line?

From the filter board? Those voltages are in line then.

No. 4.0x just adds CF loading.

Do you have a Windows computer you could try netbooting from?

I wrote the tutorial below for Triforce, but the same steps apply for Naomi too. Skip the part about dipswitches since yours are already set correctly. Configure the network settings on the Naomi and your PC and then try using transfergame to netboot any Naomi game.
