Hello everybody!

Today i decided to change my Naomi 1 fans for new ones, more silent. everything went smooth, but when i plugged everything i noticed that my capcom I/O emits a coil whine, a high pitch noise that was probably hidden by the loud noise of the old fans. My setup consists of a naomi 1, a cartridge game, a capcom I/O board and a HAS supergun feeded by a mean well psu. Someone got a similar problem? I suppose that is an electrical problem, maybe if i use and atx power supply and leave the I/O board only to use my controllers?

Thanks for your help

It is normal that it sounds that way after so much use, the 3.3v regulator of the Capcom JVS must be very worn. @BladeZX gave a solution that I really liked for the Naomi 1 with Capcom JVS, it is to change that 3.3v voltage regulator for a newer one that they sell on ebay at a very cheap price. I've tested it and it works wonders on the Naomi 1

Thanks a lot! I'll kill two birds with one stone! I see in your photo that you used some sort of breadboard to wire it to the I/O?
