Naomi case fan airflow direction?

Is there any reason why Sega decided to have the Naomi's case fan airflow direction blowing into the case? Shouldnt it be blowing the air out?

Blowing air in is to generate positive air pressure within the case. That should in theory help reduce dust buildup as you have one intake point that can be covered with a filter and set to face fresh air. Of course they don't bother with a filter..
