What's new

Naomi has me lost

Buffer chips going are common.

I've bought broken Netdimms and used the top boards with regular Dimms.

Hey guys does anyone have a working Netboot setup in a Jamma cabinet I could view to piggy back off of. I have the following equipment

Naomi 1
Netdimm board configured with firmware
Raspberry PI with wipi installed and working
Capcom IO
sun psu

i have tested my naomi with a standard cart everything is working flawlessly.
I have netbooted in the past using both the jamma harness and a sun psu

My question is how do the power wiring go to provide enough power to the naomi and the netdimm to run everything. The crazy thing I've done it in the past, but I have extreme covid brain fog and Im not been able to put it back together again

whats the connection look like if you look at my picture above, I have a cable going from the capcom io which is connected to Jamma to the naomi, I also have the sun psu connected to the naomi. I feel like either im sending too much power, or something isn't registering

I have a NetBoot setup
I upgraded the 3.3v regulator in the Capcom IO so I power it through that off of Jamma.
I’ve had zero issues although it was kinda hacky shoehorning the new regulator in(totally different package).
Not sure if it’s the same one as this but it’s the same package and made by Lucent.
