Naomi not communicating with Versus City billboard

I hooked my Naomi up to my Versus City and ran Virtua Tennis 2. The cab continues running the billboard "attract mode" during gameplay and does not change when using the game's "output test" screen. I looked around inside the cab a little. I could be wrong, but am I missing a wiring harness?

It looks like the billboard stuff goes to this blue connector. Disregard how disgusting this cab is on the inside.

but on the other side, the blue connector has no wiring harness hooked up to it.

that blue connector needs to plug into the extio connector ("kick harness") on your IO board. and the jumper on the IO board need to be set to position "B" to be used as an output rather than an input.

I don't know what I did, but now my Naomi won't boot when the netdimm is plugged in. First I was getting error 31, but now that I reseated the RAM, it doesn't boot at all. When the netdimm is not plugged in, I get error 01.

I should never mess with anything!!!!!

have you tried just waiting? I have a few netdimms that take 30+ second before anything appears on the screen. also, as always, check your 3.3V rail

Yeah I waited much longer than usual, still nothing. The 3.3 rail should be fine, according to the Lemony extension cable I WAS using until I broke it just now.
