I’m having trouble writing a game to a CompactFlash card. I’m using Naomicf v1.3 and have already obtained the ID con gcfi but when I try to flash the card, I get the error: "cannot create file."
I also tried using GCFI via the command prompt, and I get this error: "Gcfi: commands error, not allowed to modify master drive: 512"
I’m using Windows XP, but I also tested it on Windows 7 and Windows 10 with the same result. My CompactFlash card is connected via IDE directly to the motherboard. I’ve attached images showing the issues and how the CompactFlash card is connected. Do you know what’s happening?.
I’ve used these CompactFlash cards to replace hard drives in *Killer Instinct*, and they work without any issues.

If you've got the ID already I suggest using a USB to CF adapter to write the game with NaomiCF (Windows 7 or earlier). The reliability with IDE readers isn't great but needed to get the ID, rest of the time I use a USB adapter.

Excellent, thanks a lot for the tip; I connected the USB-to-compact flash adapter and it recorded without any issues.
