So I recently got one of those cheap AliExpress superguns which have a Genesis 2 RGB port. Yesterday I plugged in my SCART cable on my GBS-C. Shit looks like a scene from Poltergeist here. Are there upscalers out there that can handle the Neo Geo sync better? Or would I have no choice to give someone $500 for a 2000s CRT TV or a PVM since they seem to be extinct where I live?

Have you tried tweaking the settings in the Web GUI like the SyncWatcher setting?

Well that is another problem I have. My GBS-C is half bricked and I can't use the web GUI anymore. I don't know how to fix it. I go to "gbscontrol" on my phone's wifi. Then I go to the page. It doesn't load.

I've only built the DIY GBS-C so I'm not that familiar with that prebuilt option, but if it's past the return window I'd probably see if I could either do the SiS clock generator mod, or just abandon it and use a different upscaler. If your monitor has a VGA input, you could get a XRGB or something for probably cheap, although it uses JP21 instead of SCART.

Edit: enabling the clock generator probably requires access to the Web GUI, so scratch that idea until you "unbrick" it.

The GBSC is infamous for poor wifi performance due to interference from the video processing. Try to see if you're able to access the web GUI when the device is on, and everything is disconnected (don't feed any video signal into it).

I've never used this specific model before, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has the same behavior. I vaguely recall complaints about the clock gen mod being incorrectly installed on these orange GBSCs which doesn't give me confidence in its quality.

I run an MV1c through GBS-C to a VGA dell monitor on my work bench all the time without issue. So I am thinking this may not be the issue.
