Hello everyone, I am hoping someone out there can help with this, i have an AKB48 arcade cab with a Namco system 369, I made a backup image of the drive years ago, last week the system started giving me error rebuilding database, it would keep failing, and it would just hang, so i removed the system and took out the hdd, i then hooked it up to linux and windows pc's and even though the drive is a 250gb it would only show up as a 39gb, i restored the image i had made previously to another identical drive i had ordered and then put it back into the cabinet, it begins to come up, shows the game, begins to boot to a black screen, which is past the i/o error which you get when you boot it up without an i/o board hooked up, then shows a 19-11 system error. From what i have found out so far is that this drive has an HPA - host protected area, i was able to bypass the HPA and clone the entire 250gb this time, but now it just shows the database error. I have gotten other images from people , but thier hard drive images are the the 39gb , not the entire drive with the hpa section. Anyone out there has any solutions or a valid image of AKB48.

update, found out that the dongle is bound to the serial # of the hard drive, so i just reformatted the drive and restored the 39gb game, since the serial # did not change it worked!! I have seen dongle bypyass scripts for raspberry pi's in 357dongle scripts in git hub but nothing for akb48. I will keep looking to try and find a way to bypass the dongle on this game.
