IF you have ordered anything from ArcSys101 and he has NOT shipped it within few weeks: contact forum admins immediately! I am not the only who have had problems with this seller during this year. There are at least two more cases I have heard of.


Improperly packed PCB sets:

  • I separately asked ESD protection applied for ensuring that there would be no electrical problems on PCBs (another PCB set arrived faulty). No ESD protection at all.
  • Lack of ESD packaging was not mentioned by ArcSys101 before sales, neither before sending. Only after I complained about this, he replied 5th September "ESD bags i cant find it here since our country has limited selling of esd bags and i have search some used one's from some brand new motherboard of computer no luck".
  • Otherwise the packing was not a great either - no real carton box used for packing. Only piece of cardboard bent around for covering stuff inside and taped over, rather soft and not very protecting.
  • Around the both PCB set a layer of white thin foam-like packing material
  • Under the foamy material a layer of second hand bubble plastic, normal clear one. For another PCB a clean and in good condition. For another PCB dirty (noticiably grey/brown/oily from dirt) and most of bubbles were broken.

Not really getting what I paid for:

  • During 6th March and 10th March I got pictures of the PCBs which I would be paying for and two videos of games running good (assumably on same boards). I did accept the deal according pics and videos received.
  • Terms of sale were for fully working PCB sets. Another PCB set has faulty audio.
  • After receiving the package September 4th I noted that the PCB sets sent over were not the same I got pics early March.

Waiting time super long (had to report to forum admins to get things happening):

  • Covid-19 had it's impact on shipping, no doubt about it. However, after waiting 5,5 months, I had to reach out for help from this forum admins. I have also heard that there are more people having similar issues with ArcSys101.
  • Even then it took two weeks more to receive the PCB sets
  • One week extra delay was caused by ArcSys101 by giving incorrect details for DHL (both phone number and e-mail address were incorrectly reported to DHL - even after I gave them correctly twice to ArcSys101). For this DHL was unable to reach me early about incoming package and it's customs process.

Lack of communication (after sending payment):

  • While ArcSys101 has almost daily activity on forum, it may take several days or weeks before he answers to PMs (this after I made the payment).
  • Sometimes I had to sent few PMs (in a timeline of two weeks) before getting any reaction back from him.

March ordered,pandemic rises and business in economy or shipping halted in whole 7months gave the shipping $85 ,bought boards $125 each , shipped at $175 covid surcharge dhl , dhl fault not putting in right boxes after picking up in our house with the raw boxes prepared as always dhl put them in their boxes

Replaced the xmen vssf rom board cps2B because it's becomes faulty of graphics and sTt said sounds problem in a-board , oily it's a wd40 used to clean , i dont wash boards water and soap

Same scenario not gasoline and bout and told him it's need some cleaning, and i dont know a missing capacitor,im not a repair guys , it's working even it has it's dirty but managed to clean them though not enough for expectation, price I don't remember but its cheap with shipping included almost ate the cost of my past first time international shipping

Usually a lot here bought in a time of covid manage to understand the situation as a message and updating for a situation in covid is different in my country aside from some very un strict countries that has all the services .

Here no food no work no business economy drop at 85%

7 sold items 1 last will be send and some guys really understand a situation like mine.

Other not even a bargain will not count it.

Halted all of my items I'm not selling some of it and I'll focus on just cabinets hunting is much more fun

Yeah I had an issue with him with my naomi 2 being shipped in just a bag it was damaged and I bought a street fighter ex board was shipped bad also the box was crushed and he said it was working when he sent it. I wouldn’t recommend him honestly.

When it comes to economics, it's not my responsibility if you sold for too low price. Neither you should have anything to complain here if you feel so: I paid exactly the price you asked for, including shipping. I did NOT ask for any reduction for the price. The terms were very clear, to have exact items, fully working and properly packed - including ESD protection.

What I got for the price I willingly paid as asked (after confirming the pics and videos sent): NOT the same PCBs I got pics/videos, improperly packed PCBs and without ESD protection. No any word beforehands that the ESD protection would be missing. Another CPS2 A PCB is broken (and already discussed in another thread, two forum members confirmed that the fixing wont be simple), impossible to prove whether caused by lack of ESD protection or if the PCB was already broken when shipped.

You selected the shipping method: DHL Express Worldwide

It's easy to find DHL's own "An essential packing guide for express shipments" online. It contains general clear guidelines for general packing. DHL is not responsible for packing items when this shipping product is used. The responsibility of packing and selecting the proper packing material is on your side. DHL provides range of packing materials, but of course they may cost some and you have to do the packing yourself.

External DHL packaging you used in this case (looks like cheapest possible): thin plastic DHL flyer envelope

So, please don't blame DHL of the things you didn't make properly.

Both ROM PCBs changed, not only one. Pictures I received on March shows completely different revision PCBs than which I received. And I don't mean the eprom chips, which are different too - the PCB itself has component changes which are clearly visible in these different revisions.

Copying your comment from a PM (September 5th): "the different board as far as i can recall of cps2 the other has been replaced because i dont want to store in so long and give a good or another cps2 board"

As you told this youself, it quite much proves that you didn't actually keep the PCBs I paid for, but sent me other stuff than I originally agreed to buy.

If that's true, then you would not have posted a ton of stuff to the "The Obligatory "Post Your Recent Purchases" Thread". According to postings you have bought loads of cabinets and PCBs - May, June, July, August

Buying so much more gear (cabinets, dozens of PCBs and other arcade equipment) does not really tell being low in money, or having no food for you or your possible family.


I was understanding your covid situation did try to understand your lack of communication (several weeks answer time to PMs). However, nothing seemed to happen after 5,5 months and I had to contact administrators to get things proceeding.
 
I don't buy cabs it was posted for sale from a friend and some other cabs existed before you purchase some stuff
