FS Neo Geo MVS: ALL-in-1 Vortex Multicart - 2025

For Sale
For anyone even remotely thinking about purchasing a multi cart or just love Neo-geo MVS like myself. This is well worth it. Leon does great work, is very helpful and honestly is helping keep/spread the love for Neo-geo arcades with all his hard work and dedication. Wait list time is quick and worth the wait. Shipping was very fast. Leon has responded to every question I've asked. All around great purchase and experience! Thanks bro, keep up the great work!

I’m sure it’s been discussed before but is it usually 161 v2 or v3 that’s used for the all-in-1? And why would it be one and not the other? Just curious about the differences.

Thanks in advance :)

Add another satisfied customer to the list. Great communication. Complete professional. Amazing cart. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I love this cart! I love it so much I want to know more about getting PickNMix working. From what I read in this thread it seems that I would need to flash one of the Unibios 4.0 chips with one of the Vortex PickNMix files (see below) and it would work? Or is there something I am missing? If PickNMix is enabled with a reduced number of games in the list, would I still be able to go to the Vortex main menu to select from the full list? Not trying to be a bore but any info or help with this would be greatly appreciated. Having an attract mode with most of the games would be awesome.

To my knowledge no one has made a PickNMix bios with the game list that leonk uses yet.

For anyone with the skills to do it, I'd sure love to have it as well.

You add any of the conversions and ports like Crossed Sword 2, Turf Masters (with the extra course), Shinobi and Double Dragon?

As far as I know the game list hasn't changed because this list is extensively test and works, any changes would mean having to retest everything. It includes a cart conversion of Crossed Swords 2, but not the others on your list.

I typed up this description of the game list at one point:

It has every official Neo Geo MVS release from NAM-1975 to Samurai Shodown V Special (with the noted KOF2k and Garou qualifiers) plus the following games:

Bang Bang Busters - Proto
Crossed Swords 2 - CD Game
Ghostlop - Proto
Idol Mahjong - CD Game
Iron Clad - CD Game/Proto
Magician Lord - 2 rom versions
Metal Slug 2 Turbo
Samurai Shodown 5 Perfect
Shock Troopers - 2 rom versions
The Eye of Typhoon - 'Proto'/3DO port
Xeno Crisis - Indie/Homebrew
Zintrick - CD Game
240p Test Suite

Not trying to beat a dead horse but doesn't Leonk use the standard and tested Vortex list? In your next reply to Museion you said the game list hasn't changed "because this list is extensively test and works" and Leonk has stated previously that he follows the original Vortex documentation when making these carts.

Can anyone confirm this?

Because if this is 100% based on the original Vortex list then shouldn't one of the unibios patches work for this cart?

  • No. I don't use the standard vortex list; most makers didn't.
  • There's many more games on my list that original vortex list
  • I tried to use the instructions to make my own custom unibios. It's impossible because there is not enough free space on the 27C1024 EPROM to hold all the text names of all the 160+ games on my cart. Razoola was able to do this because of the 161 games, he had to hold only about 120 games (rest were duplicates or broken games which he removed)
  • So tell me, which 40 games should I remove from the Vortex cart so PickNMix will start working again. :D

To be fair, the patch I made was for an earlier version of your All in One cart and the only games removed from PickNMix were a few homebrew. The game list hasn’t changed much since then. All original Neo Geo titles fit in PickNMix with some finesse.

That said I get wanting to cram as much as possible into the All In One. There’s some sweet home brew and alternate rom sets and you can never please everyone. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the update. Excited to get one in the future for the new AES+. And hey, if it can't work with it, then I have a new project to work on to get a working MVS.

You can't add games without redoing the entire cart. Also, the games you mentioned, out of respect to the developer (who is a member on this forum) he requested that those games not be put on carts and sold. So I never put them on any vortex cart I made. Goal has always been to have the original games from back in the day, anything extra, is a bonus (think of it as fluff to fill the extra empty space on the flash chips)
