Everything works but I'm sure the games need cleaning and the console is quite finicky. I am not the original owner but I remember the previous guy telling me he "Refurbished" the 72 pin connector. I suspect that meant going in and re-bending the pins to give better contact BUT to me it seems to grip too hard and you really have to try multiple times to get the perfect cart placement before game will load. Cosmetically it's in decent shape but not flawless.
I've just had it in a box for a year with the intention of using it in a project and will probably never get around to it.
