Hello. I recently bought a Net City Cab only to discover there’s monitor burn. Though it’s not so bad while playing a game, I’m looking for a replacement monitor that doesn’t have any burn. Located in the SoCal area. Thanks in advance.

AO wiki says blast r ms293* and net is ms2931. u can probly use every ms293* tube and chassis for both, but i could be wrong

if u have a NEW net city tho ur looking for a toshiba PF cuz thats different from the net (if ur looking to go original replacement), according to AO wiki

Net City share the same tube and chassis as Blast City. And these are, unfortunately, hard to find. You just need a little luck.

I’m still very new to this. Are Blast City monitors the same as Net City?
No. Blast City are semi curve and NNC are pure flat. You can use the NNC monitors on the Blast City but it recesses under the bezel and leaves a gap. I don’t believe you can use the blast Nanao underneath the NC or NNC bezel.

I believe you but were they Flatscreen or maybe a chassis connected a flat tube? The Otaku states a flat screen Tri Sync

Net City and New Net City have different monitors.

Blast City and Net City have compatible monitors (MS-2930, MS-2931 & MS-2933). Net City monitors are missing the quick disconnects at the front of the monitor, but otherwise they're the same. Same tubes, same frames.

This is correct.

Theres a bit of confusion when it comes to this family of cabinets because they all kinda look the same..

Naomi Universal: (upright and sit down) 31k only Semi Curved.
Net City (upright and sit down) Semi Curved. Nanao MS-2933 was I think factory for these but regardless the Ms293X family works here
New Net City (sit down only) Pure Flat Tube. Toshiba D29 PF monitors with Toshiba CRT tubes or Matsushita Tubes. Compatible with Sanwa PFX Monitors and Makvision M31 Series PF monitors.

Edit: The simple answer is basically the Net City uses blast monitors. Though to be technical the chassis varies so 2930 2931 2933 were all revisions/improvements that Eizo Nanao made to run the Toshiba CRT tube that is found in cabs like the blasts/new versus cities/net cities to name a few.

My Naomi Universal had the full curve toshiba tube found in the Astro's Cities - the A68KJU96X just obviously a different yoke and chassis as the MS9

Naomi Unis came with either MS2932, MS2934 or Sanwa 29e31s. They're all 31khz, but only the last two are semi curved.
