Neutral+ Feedback for Day_040 (resolved)

Dude, it was a packaging mistake. Chill out.
There’s no grand larceny going on here, and the seller is taking full responsibility and giving you a refund.

There’s no need to “warn” people about him.
In fact this shows how good a dude he is. He owned up to it and is making it right.

Let's say I kept all of this in private. Do you think future buyers of his should be kept in the dark about this?
If you were made whole: absolutely yes. No harm was done to you and it clearly wasn't malicious.

"Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence." Just a simple mistake from someone who isn't on here every single day buying and selling (and very likely not shipping things almost ever).

It was definitely weird to jump so quickly to a public posting. A couple of days to reply from someone who posts 12 times a year isn't unreasonable.

I do hope you're shipping it back. Keeping a very fixable $800 item after you've been refunded in full would be in real bad taste.

This is a gross false equivalency. Candy cab King’s situation is entirely different and not even remotely related.

No one is getting scammed here. It was bad packaging that resulted in damaged goods.

The buyer here decided to call the seller out without even allowing the seller to make things right or even respond.

Dick move. Plain and simple.
The problem is you're perpetuating this mob mentality behavior that one party is 100% right, one is 100% wrong, and whoever you deem is wrong should be blacklisted by everyone, which would cause hesitancy of negative feedback to be posted.

The buyer here even said he got no response until making this thread. How much time is enough for you to believe the buyer over the seller?

Surely a seller would never ignore complaints until getting blasted publicly for it.

100% spot on, as usual.
