So trying to sort out some partially working Net Dimm boards. I've got one that has me stumped. If the GDROM/Ethernet daughter board is installed, the Naomi won't boot. Black screen. If I swap it out with a different daughter board, all's well. Likewise, if I move the daughter board to a known good Net Dimm it won't post. Used to at least getting an error... anyone have any ideas?

Your NAOMI DIMM board buffer chip is toast. You will need to replace it. It is labelled as IC12S.

That would be a correction to the main Net Dimm board, in this case the failure follows the ethernet/scsi daughter board and NOT the Net Dimm itself.

I had misread. I will need to look at the daughterboard and get back to you, have you checked the capacitors on that board with an ESR meter?

I've not checked the capacitors, will give that a try and see if I can find anything out of place (need new tweezer probes, to Amazon!).
