I received this nac cabinet yesterday, it fired right up without issue. I played it a bit and noticed some discoloration in one of the corners , looked like it needed to be degaussed. I hit the ‘demag’ button on the psu and abruptly lost all power, the monitor and marquee lights just shut down. Now I’m not able to get the unit to power on at all. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this?

pull the power out of the wall.

Trace the "demag" button to the chassis and make sure there are no shorts along the way?
In addition to this, once you've located and fixed the fault, you may need to replace a fuse in the PSU. Location will vary depending on the model of PSU, but should be relatively easy to find.

The fuse for the power supply is either under a threaded cap or on the PCB in a holder.

It's possible that the fuse was just the wrong spec. The current rating is written on the end. How many amps is it?

Check the fuse.

Also knowing what kinda PSU is helpful here NAC's and AC's used several versions.
Its possible that during transist a wire or connector vibrated loose inside the PSU and pushing that button was the last bit of disturbance it needed to lose connection or fall off.

Check the fuse, reseat all cables, take the PSU off the cabinet flip it over and visually inspect the connections and wires inside it and reseat those too ideally.

Could also be a number of other things coming from the AC side before the PSU but I wouldnt worry about that yet.

Thanks y’all! I pulled the psu out and found the fuse on the underside , pulled it out and think I found the problem:

Looks like the fuse blew at some point and rather than replace it someone just soldered in some thin wire, guessing that’s what’s going on here anyways . Ordered some new fuses, hope that fixes things.
