Hey folks,
Long story short - received a NAC and the first test lasted for a few seconds until the PSU shut off. Turns out all caps but AC filter were leaking, they were replaced but second test blew the fuse immediately. Further troubleshooting led me to Q1 being completely shorted out of circuit, corresponds to a Shindengen 2SK2197 MOSFET. I've taken a look at replacements and two get close to the original specifications, FDP20N50F and IXTQ26N50P, but I'm honestly unfamiliar with how they function and am afraid of further damaging the PSU if either are not suitable. I've seen some 2SK2197 replacements on eBay but shipping times would unfortunately break it for me. Has anyone gone through the process of repairing and replacing Q1 before? Thanks
