I believe that having that chip from the I/O dumped will motivate even more the person/s involved in the fix

Sounds like a good deal. I'm still up for getting it dumped, if someone can be found to do it. I simply don't have the skills or equipment to do it myself.

regular Shootout Pool doesn't need it at all. only SWP (Prize) require it.

I wasn't sure whether disconnecting it would cause a system error, or something. It has a lot of connectors. I think I will try unplugging it and see what happens.

I've played this new version a bit, and as I told MetalliC, it seems to have cured the slowdown issue, which is great!

I haven't been able to test as much as I'd like, as my IO board has developed a fault. I'm also in the process of fitting the extra buttons needed by this full version. Once that's sorted, I'll give the game a proper testing.
