AES + game ? Is that real ?
I hope some AI joke

Anyone cancel their order by contacting support? I'm gonna buy the AES+ locally at EBGames Australia since it costs heaps less. ($329AUD)

I was impressed when i saw that, that's some half decent distro work getting it onto EB.

Let us know how it goes, I sent them a message for cancellation on April 17th but still no response. I did order it on Amazon.ca and today i see that surprisingly all of AES+ and related items have gone out of stock, not sure whats happening!
just got all my orders cancelled (which is what i requested). Still says 10 business days or so for the credit to be refunded back. But at least they responded

Actually going to be ridiculous walking through a Westfield and being able to clutch some AES games at late night shopping on a Thursday.
I know right, I was never fortunate enough as a kid to own/buy neo geo stuff. Thats changed as ive got older but to have that from new feeling will be great!

Seems like ordering the carts from amazon jpn with free shipping and handcarrying the neogeo aes+ back to my country from JB Hifi AU is the cheapest option for me. I hope the cartridges are not region locked or anything or my plan will blow up in my face.

Do not buy MVS 161-in-1 carts in the hope these will just work with a Furrtek converter on your AES+. They have a design flaw that makes them only "work" on MVS. I'd be surprised if I'm not the biggest buyer of these carts in the world (300+ and counting). To work on AES, the flash memory type and FPGA code needs to be changed.

Technical reason: The 161-in-1 V2 carts switched to using a single F0095H0 flash chip to hold all the PROM data. Older carts use multiple Fujitsu 55LV100S chips. The Fujitsu flash is more tolerant to 5V. The way address/data lines are marshalled through the Furrtek adapter seem to overwhelm the F0095H0 and it provides wrong data causing the AES to crash (timing issue? who knows)

FWIW, I've also observed data corruption from the F0095H0 in the PROM position on my MVS. But it takes much longer to manifest (15+ minutes) The older V3 carts, that use 3 Fujitsu chips in the PROM position, can run for hours with no data corruption.

Great info, thanks leonk. So they used to work, but these newer ones don't?

I too wonder if this is an issue in the now nearly extinct v3s. In my case I had a moment of weakness and picked up a NeoSD Pro Vengeance Hunter edition as my new AES multicart.

Thanks for the info. I was really curious so I asked in your other thread what the differences are between v2 / v3. It's interesting to have an expert explain it :)
