New NEO-GEO Aes will be released ?

Funnily enough, i'm not really a fan of the white. I prefer black, but i can see how people will like it. White just doesn't do it for me. But all the same nice to see a console variant and give people choice.

They have them setup playable at their booth.

I went with white because it was the right bundle and price, I can take it or leave it. That being said, I like that the white looks different enough from the OGs to not cause market confusion.
 
I didn't cancel mine. I am gonna wait it out.

I'm not following this logic though if they have a playable demo of the system for people to try at a show. You ended up getting bunch of people who are cancelling their orders now. If its ready, why not slowly start shipping them?
 
They're called prototypes. Even have a "TGS###" serial on the back.

Turns out it's not the console hardware, it's the memory for the cartridges that is bottlenecking production. They just can't make enough carts to put out there right now, and they don't want a situation where there are consoles and no games. They even had to switch from NOR parallel to NOR serial which involved a complete re-design of the cart PCBs.

Consoles and no games? If only there were Neo Geo games already released somewhere out there...

Oh well.

I'm holding onto my white preorder via Amazon, b/c why not?

As it gets closer, I think I'm going to jump on that all in one package, with all the games. The booth has got me excited again!

THIS is how a console relaunch should be, those little mini-systems with shitty emulation can go get fucked!

I don't see how that all in one package doesn't get a price rise in future...
