New NEO-GEO Aes will be released ?

I want to be positive, I really do but there is not enough information to justify a pre-order. I’m more excited and looking forward to the re-release of the neon geo game library. I wander how the PCBs look like and the chip that will store the rom/games. Having the entire library at $90 per game would be very cool. If the neo geo system doesn’t perform as expected an FPGA version should be able to fix that as long as it can read the game cartridges assuming that the games are not encrypted and all. The neo geo system is a nice bonus but the real focus should be the hardware inside the game carts. Are the games PCBs and chips of quality? Or did they go the cheap route?

The WELCOME10 code for 10% off has expired. Probably for the better. Will wait for reviews to come out before jumping in.

I wonder what stick they’re planning to use. Hopefully they worked with Seimitsu to remake the original parts.

Whoa! Even if you don't care for AES+, a new round of NGDEV AES prints is a plus. NGDEV carts were all super expensive second-hand by the time I got my first MVS board.

I'm surprised Analogue didn't build an FPGA Neo Geo. PC Engine and N64 had much higher lifetime sales than AES, but I can't be the only one who grew up seeing Neo Geo as a desirable but unattainable luxury. Plus it aged way better than N64...

Pass - Already have too many excellent ways to play NeoGeo games; and not least of which is the fantastic core on Mister ;

I am more interested to see what the quality is like on the accessories (ie AES arcade stick/game pad/memory card etc) - could always do with a couple more , not

Anyway, I am pretty old and grumpy these days - will wait and see

It's funny how everyone everywhere tells how expensive it is to play Neo Geo on real hardware and I have been firing my 30$ MVS (bios changed) with 161-1 piracart for years now totalling under 100 bucks :D

I know, I know collecting is completely different thing and this is nice looking package! Real asic chips and shiet! If I had any nostalgia to the system might get one, but I never even heard of it until I was already adult.

Nice project and hope it fulfils everything it promises!

I think AES and is for consumer we are ritch and we MVS if you are lucky you have 2 or 4 slot... not consumer poor item :D
just kidding, i play with 2 lot that was repaired and gifted from a friend arcade (sex) worker...

That's a valid point. I see Garou amongst the games and the real cartridge has the NEO-CMC encryption chip that hasn't been reversed yet.
They wouldn't run unencrypted (= non original) ROMs, would they?
Since it is an official release, I would think there is access to any proprietary information that is required, right?
