12/12/25: Sold at listed price!
Hello!
Up for sale is a new old stock unopened New Net City. This cabinet has a higher serial number than any of the New Net Cities I have ever owned or sold (over 40), meaning it is from the very end of the production run of New Net Cities. The cabinet is in its original packing material from Sega and was stored by its previous owner in a climate controlled environment.
I confirmed recently with a Japanese arcade distributor that has sold new Sega arcade machines as a first-party official distributor since the Aero City era that this packaging is in fact the original unopened packaging that these cabinets were shipped to arcades and distributors in. The cabinets were not shipped in any kind of box beyond this; given that information, it is nothing short of a miracle that the packaging has remained as intact as it has. If you would like more details on the provenance of the machine feel free to contact me. I have not opened the packaging to check anything regarding the condition of the machine; only visually inspected what is possible from the outside. The original tape and packaging show signs of age; they have been on the machine for about 20 years so no surprise there. There are no signs of any damage or other issues from improper storage or transportation. If you are interested in buying the machine, I can open it, confirm that the coin counter is at the original factory value and test the chassis on another cabinet's monitor as well as confirm that the PSU is outputting the correct voltages, even recapping both if desired. Recap work will be performed by @aperturegrillz who has recapped and repaired over 50 monitors in the last year alone. I wouldn't charge for doing this, but a partial advance payment (negotiable) would be required for me to remove the original packaging and perform any kind of service.
I can crate, palletize, and ship the cabinet LCL anywhere in the world from our office in Gunma; alternatively if you are interested in having it sent as part of an upcoming US container to Seattle (again, crated) that is also an option. My company that exports arcade games, Cosmo-Logi, has a feedback thread on A-P; you can view it here.
Asking $7200 (including crating) plus whatever LCL shipping costs to your location. As mentioned above, this price can include a full recap of both the monitor and PSU if desired. If you want an LCL estimate to your area, let me know and I will be happy to find the best option available for you.
Linked is a photo album including many angles and close up photos of the cabinet.
