New small multi Rastan / Rainbow Island!

Got my kit today, many thanks! :thumbsup:,

I've sussed out mostly from the pictures you posted the install layout of the kit fitted on a Rastan board but does the GAL16V8B supplied go in this location on the board I've highlighted in yellow on the image below. Both existing PAL chips are soldered currently so if this is the correct location then this PAL highlighted will require de-soldering and socketing.

There was no instructions included with the kit I received, hence the reason for confirming.

Finally got my kit installed tonight and have a small issue where Rainbow Islands coins up fine but Rastan refuses to coin up...any ideas what the issue could be?
 
So just to add just gone into Rastan's test menu and when I press coin the coin switch status is showing as being activated but as previously stated the game itself doesn't want to register any coin input

I think you have the protection problem. Rastan board has a connector near the jamma, a 4 pin JST. That connector bridges pin 1-2 and 3-4. You just need to bridge those pins.
 
Thanks that connector is missing off of mine but don't recall ever having any issues coining it up, unless of course connector has dropped off the board and haven't realised. I make a connector up to bridge 1-2 and 3-4 and report back.
