I have a B-17 with no battery. I'm assuming the answer is as obvious as I think it is, but here goes. Would disconnecting the C-board kill it? If so, got any info on how to de-suicide it?
B-17 C-Boards don't have a battery. And since they don't have a battery they also don't ever suicide.
Your problem is something else.
FWIW even the battery-backed C-Boards don't die when you remove them... the battery is on the C-Board itself and suicide only occurs when the battery power is disconnected from where the data is stored.
i had a cps1 a board with a bad custom that behave like a suicide board, so is more likely that since is more common every day to have dead custom chip on the a board
